Question and Answer

Q. How do I find full-text of an article?

To find a full-text article:

  1. Go to wmich.edu/library.
  2. Type the title, subject or author of the article that you are looking for in the Library Search field on the University Libraries homepage.
  3. Select the "Articles" filter radio button below the search field.
  4. Press enter or click the search button.
  5. Click the "Full Text Online" filter under Show Only in the Refine my results menu on the left. On mobile, select the filter icon in the upper right and then select "Full Text Online."

If the article you are looking for is not available through WMU Libraries, you may be able to request it through Interlibrary Loan. To request an article through ILL:

  1. While in search results, remove the "Full Text Online" filter by clicking on the "x" next to it. On mobile, select the filter icon in the upper right and then click on the "x" next to "Full Text Online."
  2. Click the "Expand beyond my library" filter under Show Only in the Refine my results menu on the left. On mobile, select the filter icon in the upper right and then select "Expand beyond my library."
  3. Click the "No full-text" link below the article in the search results list. If you are off campus, you will be prompted to enter your Bronco NetID and password. Off-campus access is only available to WMU students, faculty and staff.
  4. If prompted, sign in to your library account using your Bronco NetID and password.
  5. Click the "Request it (WMU Students, Faculty and Staff)" link in the Physical section.
  6. Click the "Submit Request" button at the bottom of the Interlibrary Loan page.
