Q

How can I find out which papermaking journals you have in your library and the volumes of each? Do I have to apply for a "guest" library card?

I am an ex-papermaker and I am doing research on "watermarking", a papermaking process. I know you have a world class pulp and paper curriculum, as the mill I worked at hired many outstanding graduates of the program over the last 40 years. Thank you.

Answer

We have a large number of paper science journals in our library - the list below is just a small sample of what we have. You'll notice all of this material is in the TS1080 call number range on our lower level of Waldo Library.  There will be many other journals in that same area.

If you need to search for articles in a database, you can use our PaperChem database (available from the Databases A-Z tab on the library main page).  You can use this database as a guest on our library computers.  You do not need a "guest" library card to read or copy material from our books or journals while you are in the library.  The only thing you will need assistance with may be if you access the online Tappi Journal issues, since you need a BroncoNetID to login to view them.  You can't get a BroncoNet ID as a guest.  If I'm around when you stop in, I can log you in.  Contact me and let me know when you are planning to come in and I'll try to arrange help.
