My name is Ethan Reardon and I am a student at Central Michigan University. I am current working on a thesis on German prisoners of war in Michigan and the reeducation program that the government set up. I found out that you have a thesis titled "A Study of the Reeducation of German Prisoners of War at Fort Custer, Michigan, 1945-1946" done in 1949 by Philip Proud. I was hoping to get a electronic copy of this work. If you can't get me one then let me know and I will see about visiting to look at it.Thank you for your time.Ethan Reardon

Answer

Hi Ethan.

Your request was forwarded to Archives & Regional History Collections.

We do have 2 copies of the thesis title "A Study of the Reeducation of German Prisoners of War at Fort Custer, Michigan, 1945-1946," by Philip Proud.  One copy is circulated and the other is non-circulated.  We cannot photocopy the whole book for you, however, you can request for the circulating copy through your Inter-library loan.

Did you know that there is a copy of this title available at Clarke Historical Library? call no. D805.U5 P76 1949.  https://www.cmich.edu/library/clarke/Pages/default.aspx

The Clarke Historical Library is enclosed on the campus of Central Michigan University. It is located within the Charles V. Park Library on the campus, Phone(989) 774-3352.
Hope this helps.
